Airlines in Moldova

Air Moldova

It is the national carrier of Moldova and operates scheduled services to destinations in Europe. Direct flights to Rome, frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Moscow, Athens etc. No free meals are served on board.

Moldavian Airlines

Moldavian Airlines was the first private airline and the second biggest airline in Moldova. It was founded in 1994. Moldavian Airlines became a joint Swiss-Moldovan company in November 1999. It created a partner airline: Carpatair based in Romania, being managed as a group-member together with Moldavian Airlines. Moldavian Airlines offers 14 flights per week twice daily to Budapest, which offers good connections to the major european and world's cities. Free meals are served on board.

Carpatair

At its sixth birthday, Carpatair counts twelve aircraft and over 350 employees. The destinations are Italy, Germany, Romania, France, Moldova, Ukraine and soon England. All the connections are via the hub in Timisoara, Romania made in such a way that it is impossible to lose the connecting flight. All the flights are coming to Timisoara, and only then in about an hour are flying outbound. Free meals are served on board.

Austrian

Austrian Airlines Group having daily flights from/to Chisinau. Good connections to the most world's destinations with Star Alliance via the hub in Vienna. Free hotel offered in Vienna in case of overnight connections.

airBaltic

airBaltic operates direct flights out of two ot it's hubs in Riga and Vilnius. Established in 1995, airBaltic carried 1.42 million passengers in 2006 increasing permanently it's fleet and destinations. Starting with September 2007 it began operating several flights a week from Vilnius to Chisinau, offering the good prices and connections to baltic and scandinavian destinations.

Tarom

National carrier of Romania is having almost daily flights to Moldova. Below the average level of service but really good prices to the european cities. The connection hub is in Bucharest Otopeni airport.

Turkish Airlines

Turkish carrier having almost daily flights to Moldova. Flights to Istanbul with Boeing fleet. Preferred for it's high level of service. The connection hub is in Istanbul Ataturk airport. Most of the connections are overnight with the free accommodation.

Meridiana

Italian-based airline operates direct flights to Moldova from Milan and Verona. It is Italy's third airline operating domestic and European services. Its main base is Olbia - Costa Smeralda Airport, with hubs at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Peretola Airport, Florence and Verona Airport.
